Lincoln Capitol Group Walk

The 50 person walking tour group will arrive in Lincoln this morning, to walk the Capitol walk. Continue the fun that started in Council Bluffs and then Omaha by walking with them and showing them around. Walking highlights include the Capitol building, the University of Nebraska campus, the Sunken Gardens and the Haymarket District. 5 km walkers will be bussed to the Sunken Gardens to walk back to the Haymarket. We’ll register and pay at the Lincoln Visitor’s Center in Lincoln’s historic Haymarket District, at 201 N 7th St #110, Lincoln, NE 68508. Please bring exact change.

Once registered (no later than 9:45), we’ll meet the tour group at the statue outside the Visitor’s Center (see picture). Parking is available between 7th St. & Canopy on O St. After the walk, stop by Ivanna Cone (oh my! it’s good!) or stay and have lunch in the Haymarket with friends.

• The trail rating for this walk is 1A.
• Strollers will be able to handle the route.
• Leashed dogs are welcome.
• If you stamp books, the stamp will be available at registration.
