Meet at 9:45 a.m. to handle paperwork and pay. Lucky for us\, the Tastee Treet is right there at the end of the walk! Leashed dogs are welcome; strollers rolls easily on the natural trail.

SUMMARY:The Wall That Heals (Walking Week)
DESCRIPTION:We’ll meet in the parking lot of Westfair in Council Bluffs to tour The Wall That Heals\, a traveling replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. The 53-foot trailer that carries The Wall That Heals transforms to become a mobile education center. The exterior of the trailer features a timeline of “The War and The Wall” and provides additional information about the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington\, D.C. Additional exhibits give visitors a better understanding of the legacy of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial\, including the The Wall of Faces\, photos of service members on The Wall who listed their home of record from the local area.

SUMMARY:Little Italy Walking Tour (Walking Week)
DESCRIPTION:**Registration required!** You must preregister by noon on May 14th for this event at the link provided\, so there will be enough Italian treats for everyone. Registration is limited to 100 persons. \n\n\n\nTake a walk in Little Italy\, home to the Santa Lucia Festival and Orsi’s Italian Bakery. We will leave from the 11th St. Promenade Arch at the Gene Leahy Mall promptly at 5:30 p.m. to walk up 10th St. to visit Italian and Sicilian historical sites. Stops include Mr. Toad’s Pub\, Sons of Italy Hall\, St. Francis Cabrini Church\, Bella Vita and Santa Lucia Hall. After seeing the Stile de Famiglia and the new Little Italy Mural\, we will stop in at Orsi’s for a tasty treat. \n\n\n\nWe’re asking that those coming to our free Little Italy event for a $5 donation (cash) to support events in Little Italy and the work of the Carlentini Omaha Association in creating connections between Omaha and Carlentini\, Italy.
